Susan Hammond, PT
Susan is the founder, owner and clinical director of Tru-Care PT.
She is a 1983 graduate of Sargent College at Boston University.
Susan is active in the RIAPTA and is a past member of the board of directors. She is currently on the board of the Physical Therapy Private Practice section and serves as the treasurer.
Susan reports her favorite part of being a physical therapist is the positive contributions that PTs can make in our clients’ lives be it pain relief, helping them to return to activities they enjoy or advocating for them as they navigate through the complex health care system.
Susan’s past clinical experiences have been diverse. She has worked in rehab and nursing home settings, private practices and home care settings. Her current areas of clinical interest include manual therapy and spinal rehab.
Personal interests include home remodeling projects, wine making, hiking and sitting by the fire relaxing with friends.

Erin Meehan, Office Manager
Erin is a 1998 graduate of CCRI with an Associate's Degree in Medical Administration. She has been employed at Tru-Care Physical Therapy since 1998. Her background is in customer relations, billing and collections, and health insurance issues. Outside of work her interests include travel, collecting music and photography.

Marcia Fagundes, Office receptionist
Marcia has been with Tru-Care for a year and a half and has over 23 years experience as an executive administrative assistant. In her spare time she has taken some accounting courses at CCRI. She enjoys cooking, cleaning and gardening. She has a 9 year old son, Tyler. She says that her favorite part of physical therapy is interacting with the patients.

Beth A. Fitzpatrick, Assistant Office Manager and Billing Specialist
Beth graduated from RI Hospital School of Nursing in 1971 and worked as a Head Nurse in orthopedics for 18 years. Through continuing education she was awarded a B.A. in 1992 from URI. Beth has a pleasant, positive approach with our clients and uses organizational skills in multiple office tasks including billing and insurance issues. She is interested in fiber crafts from spinning to finished products as well as embroidery, weaving, and pottery. She has long been interested in music and performs locally in various settings.

Erin L. Harrop, MSPT
Erin is 2000/2001 graduate of Ithaca College with a Master’s of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She has worked at Tru-Care Physical Therapy since 2004, with previous work experience in an acute care hospital in Providence, R.I., where she focused on orthopedic, cardiac, pulmonary, vascular and neurological conditions. She has a strong interest in manual therapy and has furthered her education in the areas of myofascial release and functional manual techniques. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and activity levels to help achieve their goals and maximize their functional level. In her spare time, Erin likes to spend time outdoors, pursue art projects, play volleyball and enjoy the company of family and friends.

Kim Marie Dumas, MPT
Kim is a 1996 graduate of Temple University with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to this, she received her B.S. in Biology from Siena College in Loudonville, NY, in 1993. Her initial experience was in the acute care setting working in New Haven, CT, and later in Spokane, WA, until 2001. Focus of treatment involved various conditions including orthopedic, neurology, wound care and critical care. Upon returning to R.I., Kim worked within the home care setting until joining Tru-Care in 2003. Kim’s advanced training includes certification in BACK TO GOLF™ and is a TPI™ certified golf fitness instructor. Kim lives in North Kingstown with her husband Chris and sons Alex and Sam. Her interests include skiing, snowboarding, golf, cooking and travel

Jessica Craik, PT
Jessie has worked for Tru-Care Physical Therapy since June of 2009. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 2009. Jessie has had many experiences in out-patient, orthopedic physical therapy; she has worked in Boston, MA, Honolulu, HI and Rhode Island. While in Boston she had the opportunity to work under the director of rehabilitation for the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins. Jessie also has interests in alternative therapy and meditation and sport specific therapy. When not working, Jessie enjoys distance running, hiking, surfing and traveling with friends and family.

Ericka Fryburg, MPT
Ericka graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Master of Physical Therapy Degree in January, 2010. Since graduation, she has been practicing outpatient orthopedic manual therapy in a wellness center where she has been working alongside a diverse group of medical professionals to provide comprehensive care to set patients on a path towards wellness. Ericka’s initial interest in manual therapy developed as a student volunteer at a structural manual therapy camp for children with special needs. Throughout her college career she was also an adaptive skiing instructor for children with special needs. Ericka has been sharing her passion for health and wellness as a group exercise and yoga instructor since 2007 and will continue to do so as she returns home to Rhode Island as part of the Tru Care PT staff.
